Russ Austin

Russ Austin is the Senior Vice President, Operations at Tronox. Russ has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in the mining and manufacturing industries.

Russ started their career in 2001 as the Reliability Manager at Ticor Chemicals. In 2004, they moved to Rio Tinto Alcan - Boyne Smelters Ltd as the Maintenance Superintendent. Russ was with Rio Tinto for two years before moving to Tiwest Joint Venture in 2006, where they served as Operations Manager for six years.

Russ has been with Tronox since 2012 and has played an integral role in the company’s growth and success. Under their leadership, Tronox’s operations have become more efficient and effective, leading to increased productivity and profitability.

Russ Austin has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from USQ in Business Administration and Management, General.

Russ Austin reports to Jean-François Turgeon, Co-CEO; EVP & Chief Operating Officer. Russ Austin works with Michael Miller - CIO, Jeffrey Neuman - SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and Emad Aljunaidi - Chief Procurement Officer.
