True Fit is looking for a Senior Engineer - Full Stack to work with our team in the US. True Fit is 100% remote, so you can work from almost anywhere!

The Role

True Fit is looking for a Senior Engineer (Full stack) to work with a cross functional team of engineers, product managers, UX researchers, and data scientists in the US. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a brand new user experience journey using some of the latest technologies in this space. On this team, you will impact the online shopping experiences of millions of shoppers across the globe, helping them find clothing and shoes that fit them well.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain best-in-class consumer-facing web applications using technologies including TypeScript, JavaScript, React and Lit
  • Design, build and maintain high volume, scalable, resilient, and secure services that back those web applications; from the HTTP endpoints to the database using technologies including Scala, MongoDB and PostgreSQL on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
  • Challenge the status-quo and lead/participate in on-going reviews to further optimize solutions
  • Proactively prevent outages/issues and build mechanisms to troubleshoot & resolve issues with SLA
  • Support, mentor and train other engineers
  • Collaborate with Product Management & UX to build, execute, and maintain a roadmap

Skills and Experiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in full stack / micro services / web application design and development
  • Proficiency in Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Expertise with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
  • Experience with a statically typed language such as Scala / Java / etc.
  • Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases & performance optimization
  • Strong fundamentals: OOP, Web Security, Design Patterns, Fault Tolerance, etc
  • Expertise converting business requirements into scalable, resilient systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of the web ecosystem and its internals (cookies, HTTP, caching, etc.)
  • Expertise building cross platform mobile SDKs, web apps
  • Proficiency in functional programming languages like Scala
  • Expertise with linux/mac/unix shell scripting
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup environment
  • Experience with agile, iterative development methodologies
  • Thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment
