Kimberly Foster

Kimberly Foster currently serves as the Dean of the School of Science & Engineering at Tulane University, a position held since August 2018. Prior to this role, Kimberly Foster had a lengthy tenure at the University of California, Santa Barbara, from July 1999 to August 2018, advancing through various academic ranks in the Mechanical Engineering Department, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, and Professor and Vice Chair. Kimberly Foster earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, attending from June 1992 to May 1994, and obtained a Ph.D. from Cornell University, where studies took place from 1994 to 1999. Kimberly Foster completed secondary education at Houghton High School, graduating in 1991.
