Jesse Wheeler

Jesse Wheeler is an accomplished academic and leader with extensive experience in fine arts education and international partnerships. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Fine Arts at Stillman College, Jesse has held multiple academic leadership roles since 2018. In addition, Jesse is the President of the West Alabama Beekeepers Association, a board member of the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and the Executive Director of Encompass Brazil International, where efforts focus on creating partnerships between U.S. and Brazilian universities. With a diverse background including language education and translator services at Signi-Fi Solutions, Jesse also co-created a popular study-abroad program at Saint Mary's College of California. A skilled facilitator and creative writer, Jesse holds a PhD in Ethnomusicology from UCLA and an Executive MBA from The University of Alabama, alongside degrees in Musicology and Speech.
