David Bustamante

David Bustamante, PE, PMP, has extensive experience in engineering and project management, currently serving as Chief of Staff in the Office of Project Management for the U.S. Department of Energy since June 2017. Prior roles include Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Energy, Installations, and Environment, overseeing a large staff and managing critical defense energy and safety programs. David's military career spans nearly three decades, including significant leadership positions such as Chief Engineer at the U.S. European Command and Executive Officer at Naval Facilities Engineering Command, where responsibilities included managing substantial budgets and overseeing large-scale construction projects. David holds multiple degrees in engineering, business administration, and national security from esteemed institutions, further enhancing expertise in the field.
