Christa Haas Bierma

Christa Haas Bierma currently serves as an Associate Benefits Tax Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury since September 2025, while also working as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University Law Center since August 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Principal at EY from 2017 until September 2025 and as an Attorney-Advisor in the Office of Tax Policy at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from 2014 to 2017. Christa Haas Bierma has also held roles as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young from 2007 to 2014 and as an Associate at Groom Law Group from 2004 to 2006. Christa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Hope College and a Doctor of Law from Washington and Lee University.
