At Uber, Peter is responsible for the Payments and Risk teams that build and operate all of the magical experiences that help customers to pay, get paid and make their earnings go further across the Uber platform. His mission is to reshape the financial services landscape through innovative solutions that give customers even more for their money and move farther to pursue opportunities. Most recently he has been doing a couple of startups of his own design including AngelScholars - a philanthropic endeavor to create scholarships for high schoolers, and The Perfect Sip - a wine startup building an experience of wine exploration at home. He also had a short stint at COO of Postmates and helped them grow 3X in six months. Prior to that, Peter was a Senior Director of Product Management at Google, responsible for Google Wallet and consumer payments. At Google launched Google Wallet 2.0, Pay By Gmail, and the Google Wallet Card. He was also the CEO and Board Member of Google Payments Corporation (GPC), the regulated entity within Google through which all the payments for Google Play and Google Wallet flow. Before Google, for 8 years, he was Chief Product Officer at Yodlee, a technology and applications platform powering Personal Finance, Bill Pay, Funds Transfer and most of the FinTech apps built . At Yodlee he led the Engineering, Technology, Product Management, Professional Services and Data Operations teams both in the US and in India. Peter has also lead Product at Nokia for Enterprise Mobility and Mobile email, and been CTO at several startups involved in Supply Chain and Online Accounting. Peter grew up in Australia and moved to the US (quitting Law School) to do his first startup, Phoenix International in 1993 to build one of the first Windows/Unix based core banking systems that still runs today. They went public in 1996. Peter has an MBA from the University of Maryland.
