Uber Welcomes Nikki Krishnamurthy as Chief People Officer

Uber today announced that Nikki Krishnamurthy will join the company as Chief People Officer.

Nikki will oversee Uber’s human resources, recruiting, workplace, and diversity and inclusion teams who support Uber’s 20,000 employees around the world.

“Uber is one of the world’s most dynamic technology companies, and I’m honored to join as Chief People Officer,” said Krishnamurthy. “Uber has an incredibly bright future ahead of it, and I’m excited to help build a company where the highest-performing and most diverse talent comes to solve some of the world’s toughest problems.”

“Nikki brings unparalleled experience in building a culture centered around transparency, respect and diversity,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber’s CEO. “She is a trusted partner who will help our management team as we evolve our culture, ensuring Uber continues to be a place where employees are supported and welcomed, and where they can grow and thrive.”

Nikki joins Uber from Expedia, Inc., where she was most recently Chief People Officer and spent more than six years in senior HR roles. She also served as VP of Expedia Local Expert, which offers assistance in booking events, activities, tours, attractions and ground transportation worldwide. Before joining Expedia, Nikki held human resources roles at WaMu and PNC Financial Services Group.

Nikki has a BA in psychology from Rutgers University.
