Michael Taggart

Michael Taggart is a seasoned cybersecurity expert and technology leader, currently serving as the Founder of The Taggart Institute since November 2022 and a Senior Cybersecurity Researcher at UCLA Health since December 2019. With a strong background in threat hunting operations and advanced detection engineering, Michael develops adversarial simulation scenarios to enhance security measures while also creating training materials for the Security Operations team. As the Founder of Taggart Technology Services LLC, a consultancy for non-profit organizations, and an instructor at everLive, Michael has contributed to education in technology, teaching courses in Linux, Python, Firebase, React, and Docker. Previous roles include Director of Technology at The Mirman School for Gifted Children and Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart, where Michael led various technology initiatives. Michael Taggart holds a Master of Education in School Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Ursinus College.
