Sam Thomas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in education policy and strategy. Currently serving as the Strategy Lead for the Teaching Workforce Strategy and as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Higher Technical Education Strategy at the Department for Education since October 2021, Sam has previously contributed as a Consultant for the OECD, co-authoring important chapters for national skills strategies in Lithuania, Kazakhstan, and Northern Ireland. Sam's earlier roles include leadership in the OECD Intern Circle and positions in various organizations ranging from voiceover work at DVR Recording Mastering to advisory work at UCL. Academically, Sam holds a Master's degree in International Economic Policy from Sciences Po and a Bachelor's degree in History from UCL, complemented by a year abroad at the University of Pennsylvania.
