Skills And Training Manager at UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT)

Celia Thornley serves as the Skills and Training Manager at the UK Fashion and Textile Association since August 2019. Additionally, Celia is the Founder and author of Sew-skills Industrial, a series of Industrial Sewing Courses catering to new trainees and apprentices. As the Director of the Textiles Skills Consultancy, established in January 2016, Celia provides sector-specific training and support for the clothing and textiles industry. Celia also holds the position of Skills & Training Consultant at UK Fashion & Textiles Association, focusing on developing apprenticeship standards for the Sewn Product Industry. In the role of Alliance Project Head of Skills (Textiles) at New Economy since May 2014, Celia aids in the repatriation of textiles manufacturing to the UK. As a Company Director at Bebop Dancewear Ltd since June 2011, Celia oversees the design and manufacturing of dance and skate wear. Earlier experience includes serving as Qualification Development Manager at Creative Skillset, where Celia collaborated with various organizations to meet industry skill needs.
