Gehan Ahmed Aboutaleb has extensive experience in policy and program management within international development organizations, currently serving as a Policy Specialist for Inclusive Peace Processes at UN Women since October 2015. Prior to this role, Gehan held various positions at UN Women, including Programme Analyst for Women Peace and Security and Programme Support Expert, focusing on project reporting, proposal drafting, and activity implementation. Gehan's earlier experience includes serving as a Programme Associate at UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States and as a Program/Research Assistant at UNDP Regional Centre for Arab States, where responsibilities included technical report writing, economic research, and human resource management. Gehan's career began with a part-time administrative role at WorldBridge Service and a training position at IBM. Educationally, Gehan holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from The American University in Cairo and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at Cairo University.
