Maryrose Nieman Nelson

Maryrose Nieman Nelson, MMT, MT-BC, PMH-C, is a board-certified music therapist currently employed at UNC Health since March 2023, focusing on perinatal and child/adolescent psychiatric care, as well as providing consults across various hospital departments. Additionally, Maryrose serves as the owner and music therapist at Song & Story Creative Therapies, specializing in perinatal mental health. Previous experience includes roles at Atria Senior Living, Voices Together, and Maryrose Doula Services, where support was provided to birthing individuals and neurodivergent classrooms. Educational credentials include a Master of Music Therapy from Slippery Rock University and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Eastern Michigan University.
