Sarah Poole has extensive experience in international development and humanitarian assistance, currently serving as the Special Representative of the Administrator for the Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People at UNDP since June 1999. Poole has held various key positions at UNDP, including Deputy Director for the Regional Bureau for Arab States and Senior Advisor in the Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS. Prior to this, Poole worked at the U.S. Department of State as Regional Refugee Affairs Coordinator and at USAID as an Information Analyst. Academically, Poole holds an MSc in Government from The London School of Economics, an Executive Education certificate in Women Leading Change from Harvard University, and completed an Executive Education Program in Conservation and Environmental Sustainability at Columbia University. Poole also served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University from September 2002 to June 2004.
