George Platt

George Platt currently serves on the Youth Policy Board of the World Food Forum, supporting a strategic, youth-led vision for policy activities. In addition, George holds the position of Non-Executive Director at the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, appointed by the Department of Health (Northern Ireland), contributing to health and social care services for a sizeable population. As a member of the Forum Steering Group and UK delegate for UNESCO's 13th youth forum, George represents the UK at international conferences. George also participates as a Global Advisory Board Member for Generation Democracy, focusing on promoting democracy through youth engagement. Other experience includes working as a Civil Servant - Departmental Assembly Liaison Officer for the Northern Ireland Civil Service, and previous roles at Novo Nordisk and Randox Biosciences, along with academic pursuits as a PhD student in Organic Chemistry at Seoul National University and a Master's degree holder from Durham University.
