Hugo Venegas serves as the Executive Director at the Centro Latinoamericano para la Acción Educativa Cultural y Científica (CLAEC) since December 2012, focusing on coordinating international efforts in education, science, and culture. Prior to this role, Hugo worked as a Consultant for Positive Adolescent Development at UNICEF from October 2013 to June 2014, where strategies were developed for public policies and programs in Ecuador. Between 2008 and April 2011, Hugo was responsible for Public Policy, Interculturality, and Education Quality for the Andean Region at UNESCO Quito. Additionally, Hugo coordinated the Quality of Education initiative at Contrato Social por la Educación from January 2004 to June 2008. Hugo holds two Master's degrees in Public Policies and Social Management and Sociology from FLACSO Ecuador, attained in 2004.
