Michael Henkenius

Michael Henkenius is a seasoned financial and philanthropic professional with extensive experience in trust and wealth management, as well as non-profit consulting. Currently serving as Vice President and Trust Officer at Union Bank and Trust since August 2016, Michael specializes in assisting clients with estate planning and asset management. Prior to this role, Michael was Associate Vice President at The Steier Group, where responsibilities included fundraising and public relations for non-profits from March 2012 to July 2016. Michael also served as the Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Lincoln for 15 years. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Creighton University. Currently pursuing a CAP designation from The American College of Financial Services, expected in December 2023.
