Carolyn Rodak

Carolyn Rodak is an accomplished academic in the field of civil and environmental engineering, currently serving as the Associate Professor and Chair of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Union College since September 2023. Prior to this role, Carolyn held the position of Associate Professor at SUNY Polytechnic Institute from January 2015 to August 2023, where a range of engineering courses were taught. Carolyn’s previous experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Grand Canyon University and several roles focusing on educational development and research at institutions such as the Kaneb Center for Teaching and Learning and the University of Notre Dame. Carolyn's academic background includes a PhD in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Hydrogeology from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan. Additional experience includes internships in air quality monitoring and transportation safety, contributing to a well-rounded expertise in engineering and education.
