Mercy Okwara

Mercy Okwara, FCIB, currently serves as an Audit Advisor to the GMD at UBA Group since December 2023. Prior to this role, Mercy Okwara was the Head of Internal Audit at United Capital Plc from June 2023 to December 2023. With extensive experience at UBA Group from March 2006 to March 2020, Mercy Okwara held various positions including Deputy Chief Risk Officer for UBA Africa and Group Head of Audit for both Head Office and subsidiary audits. Earlier in the career, Mercy Okwara worked as Head of Corporate Controls and Chief Inspector at NNB International Bank Plc from May 2002 to February 2006. Mercy Okwara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Ahmadu Bello University, obtained between June 1983 and July 1986.
