Maria Perdomo

Maria Perdomo has extensive experience in international development, currently serving as the Regional Investment Team Lead for Asia-Pacific at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) since September 2010. In this role, Maria manages teams to implement diverse financing programs, including grants and loans, while ensuring alignment with the investment needs of Member States. Previous positions at UNCDF include Regional Manager for Asia and Pacific, where Maria coordinated multi-country programs, and Youth Finance and Empowerment Lead, where Maria mobilized USD 22 million to enhance youth finance initiatives across several African nations. Earlier in her career, Maria held advisory roles at Reach Global and Freedom from Hunger, focusing on business models and training for social franchises, respectively, in India and West Africa. Maria's educational background includes a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University, a Finance degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia, and a certificat from Sciences Po.
