Bronagh Scott

Trustee at United Response

Bronagh has been in this post since December 2018 and provides leadership to RCN members and staff on all professional nursing issues.

She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing Executive team and leads the public policy and affairs function providing the strategic direction and response to all public policy issues.

Prior to commencing this role Bronagh was the Executive Director of Nursing at the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in South Wales.

She qualified as a nurse in Northern Ireland and specialised in Intensive Care Nursing in Belfast and Perth, Western Australia. She has held a number of senior executive posts in Health and Social Services in Northern Ireland and London.

From 2004-2010 Bronagh held the posts of Director of Nursing and Deputy Chief Executive for United Hospitals Health and Social Services Trust and Director of Nursing/Chief Nurse/Director of Operational Services for Older People and Community Health and Social Care at the Northern Health and Social Care Trust (NHSCT) in Northern Ireland.

In 2016 Bronagh was appointed by the Health Minister in Northern Ireland as the Nurse Adviser on an international expert panel tasked with leading an informed debate on the best configuration of Health and Social Care services in Northern Ireland.
