Kris Self

Kris Self is an experienced Fiber Engineer at Uniti Group Inc. since March 2022, with a diverse background in telecommunications and network engineering. As a Satellite Communications Operator in the Army National Guard since May 2015, Kris has developed strong technical skills. Previous roles include Support Specialist at 3-GIS from February 2019 to March 2022, and Network Engineer on the 136 ESB Tiger Team, where Kris led a specialized team to address urgent networking issues. A GIS Intern at Florence Electricity Dept from January 2016 to February 2019, Kris also served as a Vehicle Commander in the US Army from August 2009 to December 2013. Kris holds a Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the University of North Alabama (2015-2018) and an Associate of Arts degree from Houston Community College (2014).
