Katherine Werts

Katherine Werts is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in administration and quality management. Currently serving as a Senior Clinic Administrator at UnityPoint Health since October 2025, Werts also operates as the Operating Owner of ELMORE FOODS, LLC. Previously, Werts held the position of Director of Quality and Risk Management at Encompass Health from May 2022 to October 2025 and occupied various roles at UnityPoint Health from April 2015 to April 2022, including Regional Service Manager IT and Strategic Project Manager. Werts began a career in healthcare as an X-Ray Technologist and advanced through roles at Genesis Health System and The University of Iowa, focusing on quality improvement and Lean methodologies. Academically, Werts holds a Master's degree in Health Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University, along with an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from Aims Community College.
