Nelson Remolina Angarita

Nelson Remolina Angarita serves as the Director of the Master's Program in Law, Technology, and Digital Society (MDTSD) at Facultad de Derecho, Uniandes since January 2025, and has been a faculty member at Universidad de los Andes - Colombia since October 2001, where his roles include Associate Professor, Founder and Director of the GECTI, and former Director of the Specialization in Commercial Law. As a founder of the Ciro Angarita Barón Observatory on Personal Data Protection in Colombia since January 2008, Nelson Remolina Angarita has contributed significantly to the field. Additionally, Nelson directed the School of Postgraduates and Continuing Education at Facultad de Derecho, Universidad de los Andes from June 2022 to December 2023. Previous experience includes serving as the Delegate Superintendent for the Protection of Personal Data in Colombia from October 2018 to March 2022. Nelson Remolina Angarita holds a Specialist Degree in Commercial Law from Universidad de Los Andes and a Doctorate Summa Cum Laude in Legal Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, along with a Master of Laws from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
