Paul Irofti

Paul Irofti is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in computer science and software development. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Vice Dean at the University of Bucharest, Paul oversees Research, IT, and Industry Relations within the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. Paul is also a founding member and Vice-President of the Institute for Logic and Data Science and holds associate founding roles in AI Manufacturing SRL and Three Tensors SRL. With a background that includes positions as a core antivirus software engineer at BitDefender and developer roles at various technology companies, Paul possesses a strong foundation in software engineering, parallel algorithms, and signal processing. Paul earned a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, specializing in parallel dictionary learning algorithms for sparse representations.
