Ethan C Savage

Ethan C Savage is an experienced academic professional with a strong background in policy analysis, advising, and cultural affairs. Currently serving as an Academic Planning & Policy Analyst at the University of California Office of the President since February 2020, Ethan previously held various roles at UC Berkeley, including Lead Advisor for Global Studies and Political Economy Programs, and served as a Senior Coordinator of Cultural Affairs at the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco. With earlier positions at the University of Oregon and participation in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program, Ethan has developed a rich expertise in East Asian studies. Ethan holds a Master’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Ecology from Sierra Nevada University, complemented by a Language Certificate in Japanese Language from the Kyoto International Center.
