Tobias Herr

Tobias Herr serves as a Professor of Physics at the University of Hamburg since August 2021 and concurrently holds the position of Helmholtz Young Investigator Group Leader at DESY since April 2020. Prior to these roles, Tobias Herr worked as an Expert/Scientist at CSEM from September 2014 to April 2020 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL from May 2010 to August 2014. Tobias Herr's early career includes roles as a Research Assistant/PhD Student at both the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics and EPFL between May 2009 and April 2010. Education includes a PhD in Photonics from EPFL (2010-2013) and an MSc in Physics from Heidelberg University (2002-2008), with additional study at the University of Arizona (2005-2006).
