Bettina Beech

Bettina Beech is currently the Chief Population Health Officer at University of Houston. Bettina has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on administration and finance. Bettina started their career as a consultant with PAL Consulting. Bettina then spent 3 years as the Director of Finance for Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. In 2004, they became the Director, Revenue Cycle Project Manager for Houston Methodist. Bettina left Houston Methodist in 2007 to become the Chief Operating Officer for Houston Community Health Centers. Bettina spent 4 years in this role before moving to University of Houston-Clear Lake, where they spent 5 years as Adjunct Faculty in the Healthcare Administration Program. Bettina returned to University of Houston in 2017 as the Chief Population Health Officer.

Bettina Beech's educational career includes completing a Masters of Business and Healthcare Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Bettina Beech reports to Renu Khator, President & Chancellor. They work with Ramanan Krishnamoorti - VP, Energy & Innovation, Stephen J. Spann - Vice President for Medical Affairs and Founding Dean of the College of Medicine, UH, and Paul A. Pavlou - Dean, C.T. Bauer College of Business.
