Cathy Horn serves as the Dean of the College of Education at the University of Houston, holding the Elizabeth D. Rockwell Chair and directing the Texas Educational Research Center, Center for Research, Evaluation, and Advancement of Teacher Education, and the Institute for Educational Policy Research and Evaluation. Additionally, Cathy Horn has experience as a professor, interim dean, and department chair in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. Prior to this role, Cathy Horn worked as a research associate at The Civil Rights Project at Harvard University and as a high school teacher at Northside High School within the Houston Independent School District. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from Rice University.
