Karl Hearne

Karl Hearne serves as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Neighborhood and Strategic Initiatives at the University of Houston since March 2011, having previously held the role of Assistant to the Vice President of Community Relations and Institutional Access. Responsibilities include administrative support, managing the Office of Community Relations and Institutional Access, overseeing the University’s State Employee Charitable Campaign, coordinating events, and maintaining the Vice President's calendar. Prior experience includes work as a Student Housing Desk Assistant at both Calhoun Lofts and Cullen Oaks, where Karl addressed resident concerns and supported community development. Additionally, Karl held the position of Vice President of Administration for the Residence Halls Association. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Consumer Science and Merchandising and a Master of Science in Human Resources Development, both from the University of Houston.
