Meg Dickinson

Meg Dickinson is the Executive Director of Communications at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a role held since January 2014. In this position, Meg is a key member of Beckman's leadership team, overseeing strategic communications, media relations, and outreach efforts while managing a team of five professionals. Prior to this role, Meg served as the Associate Director of Communications and Marketing in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and as Assistant Director of Communications for ECE ILLINOIS, where responsibilities included recruitment strategy, social media management, and alumni engagement. Early career experiences include roles at The News-Gazette where Meg worked as a staff writer and marketing associate. Meg holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Bradley University and a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
