Lovkesh Arora

Lovkesh Arora serves as the UIHC ECMO Medical Director and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa Health Care, specializing in Critical Care Medicine across Cardiothoracic, Surgical, and Neuro ICUs, as well as Solid Organ Transplant Anesthesiology. Additionally, Lovkesh holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Iowa Health Alliance and has been the Director of Vascular Anesthesia at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. In this role, expertise is shared with residents regarding perioperative management for various vascular surgeries. Lovkesh actively participates in multiple committees focused on pharmacy, therapeutics, and anticoagulation management, while also serving as an ECMO physician and reviewer for the Anesthesia & Analgesia journal. Memberships with the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Society of Anesthesiologists augment professional involvement, along with certification from the National Board of Echocardiography in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. Prior experience includes an anesthesiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic.
