James Newton

James Newton is a Lecturer in Film and Media Practice at the University of Kent, where employment began in August 2018. Prior to this, James served as a Senior Lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University from August 2015 to July 2018, focusing on Digital Media theory and contributing to various modules, including American Independent Cinema. James has also held roles at East Surrey College and as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University, covering topics such as Film Studies and Digital Media. James earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Film Studies from the University of Kent and previously completed a degree at Canterbury Christ Church University.
