Bernadette Moore

Chair In Nutritional Biochemistry at University of Liverpool

Bernadette Moore currently serves as an Honorary Professor at the University of Liverpool since September 2023. Since January 2016, Bernadette has been a Professor of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Leeds, where responsibilities include strategic development and quality assurance of postgraduate research, overseeing over 500 researchers, as well as leading the Nutritional Sciences and Epidemiology Research Group. Bernadette has also maintained a role as an Associate Professor at the University of Surrey since October 2007, with prior positions including Senior and Lecturer in Molecular Nutrition. Previous experience includes a Marie Curie Transfer of Knowledge Fellowship at NUI Maynooth focused on lung disease research, a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in cancer genetics, and a policy fellowship at The National Academies' Food and Nutrition Board. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida and dual Bachelor's degrees in Chemical Sciences and Human Nutrition from Florida State University.
