Jen Gartner

Jen Gartner is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as Deputy General Counsel and Transactional & Regulatory Law Practice Group Lead at the University of Maryland since April 2013. In this role, Jen provides comprehensive legal support across various aspects of law and policy relevant to the University, including sponsored research agreements and regulatory compliance. Previous positions include Interim Vice President for Legal Affairs & General Counsel at the University of Maryland, as well as roles at the University of Colorado Denver, Norwich University, Policy Studies, Inc., Space Science Institute, and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, gaining extensive experience in government contract law, compliance, and academic instruction in public administration and criminal justice. Jen holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School, an MPA from Norwich University, and a BA from the University of Delaware.
