Julia Chuang

Julia Chuang is an academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland since July 2021. Prior to this role, Julia held a similar position at Boston College from July 2016 to July 2021 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University’s Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs from June 2014 to June 2016. Julia’s early career includes serving as a Trustee for the Telluride Association from June 2004 to June 2008 and working as a Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton from September 2004 to September 2005. Julia earned a PhD and an MA in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University.
