Sam Williams

Sam Williams is a versatile musician and educator with extensive experience in music theory and performance. Currently serving as Co Artistic Director at Aether Duo since June 2024, Sam focuses on contemporary compositions that address LGBTQIA+ issues. In addition to this role, Sam tutors music at the University of Melbourne, guiding students through harmonic theory from 1700-1950. Other positions include Team Leader at The Big Group, management responsibilities at Tempo Rubato, and past roles such as Campus Brand Ambassador and Composer in Residence. Sam's educational background includes a Master's degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Melbourne, along with honors and bachelor's degrees in the same field.
