Kristen Houska

Kristen Houska is the current Director of Development for the UNL Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska Foundation. Kristen has been in this role since January 2021. Prior to their current position, Kristen was an Extension Educator - SNAP-Ed with Nebraska Extension from August 2016 to January 2021. Before that, they were a Nutrition Associate with Nebraska Extension from August 2010 to August 2016. Kristen has been working in the field of agriculture and nutrition for over 10 years and is passionate about helping others learn about healthy eating and living.

Kristen Houska received their Master of Science in Community Nutrition and Health Promotion from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Kristen also holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the same school.

Their manager is Amy Volk, CDO, Nebraska Medicine and SVP, UNMC Development. Kristen Houska works with Darla Heggem - Director of Development, UNK College of Arts and Sciences, Matthew Pohren - Director of Development, Nebraska Medicine, and Justin Swanson - Director of Development, UNL College of Business.
