Jessica Carda-Auten is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in public health, qualitative research, and program evaluation. Currently serving as a School Board Member for District 3 at Durham Public Schools since March 2023, Jessica has contributed to a variety of impactful projects at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2012, including leading qualitative evaluations for the NC FIT Program and Southern Jail Healthcare Project. Earlier roles involved directing initiatives at the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and managing health services projects at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Jessica holds a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
