Assistant Vice Chancellor For Research Development

Nathan Blouin serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, leading a team that supports researchers in achieving excellence in grant and contract funding. With experience in various leadership roles at UNC, including Interim Director and Deputy Director of the Office of Research Development, Nathan has focused on fostering a culture of innovation and promoting collaboration within the research community. Prior to UNC, Nathan held several positions at New York University, including Project Officer for Mega Grant Initiatives and Projects Officer, where responsibilities included managing large-scale research projects and funding applications. Early career roles at Boston University involved marketing and coordinating special programs for American students studying abroad. Nathan holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in Biochemistry and Philosophy from Boston University.
