Heather Lyke

Director of Athletics at University of Pittsburgh

Heather Lyke is the current Director of Athletics at the University of Pittsburgh. Heather previously served as the VP and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Eastern Michigan University from July 2013 to February 2017. Prior to that, they were a color analyst for softball with the Big Ten Network from January 2009 to December 2013. Heather also spent 15 years at The Ohio State University, first as the Senior Associate Athletic Director from January 1998 to December 2013 and then as the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Administration from 2002-2012. During their time at Ohio State, Lyke was responsible for developing the "Bucks Go Pro" social media program for student-athlete internships, coordinating a trip to the White House for the NCAA Championship Fencing Team, and launching the Masters in Sports Management Program with the College of Education.

Heather Lyke received a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from The University of Akron.

They are on a team with Anantha Shekhar - Senior Vice Chancellor for the Health Sciences and John and Gertrude Petersen Dean of the School of Medicine, Mark D. Henderson - Chief Information Officer and Vice Chancellor, and David Dejong - Acting Senior Vice Chancellor for Business and Operations, Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. Heather Lyke reports to Patrick Gallagher, Chancellor.
