Lingyun Zhao

Lingyun Zhao is an academic with expertise in biomedical engineering. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh since July 2025, Lingyun previously held the position of Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco from 2019 to 2025. Lingyun obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where studies were completed between 2010 and 2018. Prior to this, Lingyun earned a Master of Science (MS) in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University (2008-2010) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronic Engineering from the same institution (2004-2008).
