Tara Meyer

Tara Meyer has extensive experience in higher education, currently serving as the Senior Advisor to the Dean on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Arts & Sciences and as a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh since August 1994. Additionally, Tara Meyer holds the position of Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies and Academic Integrity Officer at the same institution. Tara Meyer is also a member of the McGowan Institute since June 2004 and was a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January to July 2004, collaborating with Robert Langer in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Previous academic positions include Postdoctoral Associate roles at UC Berkeley and The University of Iowa. Tara Meyer earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Chemistry from Grinnell College.
