Leslie Olonyi

Leslie Olonyi is currently a Ph.D. Student and Researcher in Environment & Climate Change Law at the University of Reading, focusing on the issue of environmental dumping from the Global North to the Global South. In addition to this role, Leslie serves as a Mandela Washington Fellow with the Young African Leadership Initiative and has experience as a Climate & Environmental Law and Policy Consultant, providing legal advice on various environmental laws and policies. Previous positions include Environmental Law & Policy Analyst and Law Clerk at the Institute for Governance & Sustainable Development, Student Attorney at Duke University School of Law, and Legal Fellow at the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights. Leslie holds a Master of Laws from Duke University School of Law and has multiple qualifications related to law and public management.
