Bo Chen

Bo Chen currently serves as the Director of the Southampton Advanced Manufacturing and Design Hub (SAMDH) and holds the position of Professor in Materials at the University of Southampton since April 2024. Concurrently, Bo Chen is an Honorary Professor and an EPSRC Early Career Fellow in Nuclear Fission at the University of Leicester, contributing to advancements in next-generation nuclear systems for sustainable energy and waste management. Previously, Bo Chen held various academic positions at Coventry University, The University of Manchester, and the University of Bristol, culminating in a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering from Beihang University.
