Mana Mehraein

Mana Mehraein is a machine learning intern at the University of Southern California. Mana previously worked as a final undergrad device development project at Pelv-Ice, where they designed a brace prototype for Pelv-ice which helps new mothers to accelerate healing, monitor post-delivery complications -such as possible infections, stress, and postpartum depression- and reduce unnecessary doctor visits. Mana also designed and engineered optimum location for collection of sensors within the brace to provide maximum comfort and accurate read of biometrics. Furthermore, they developed an iOS mobile app utilizing Swift language which provided user with the ability to monitor their health data through interactions with the smart brace. The app also featured a secure Bluetooth and wireless connection between motion, pressure, temperature and heart rate sensor and the application to collect continuous stream of biometric data. Lastly, they ensured user privacy by providing password protection and encryption of data.
