Dr. Ekta Sharma, FHEA, is a distinguished academic currently serving as a Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Southern Queensland since July 2018, as well as a Vice-Chancellor's Research Fellow for Women in STEMM, focusing on research and academic innovation. With an extensive background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, Dr. Sharma has led significant projects including work with the Australian Department of Defence and various government agencies on air quality forecasting and solar radiation prediction. Dr. Sharma has also held positions as a Sessional Academic, Learning Advisor in Mathematics at Advance HE, and a National Intelligence Community Research Fellow with the Australian Government. Additionally, previous roles include Artificial Intelligence Researcher at Defence Australia and Scientist at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Sharma's academic qualifications include a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Southern Queensland, an M.Phil in Operations Research from Delhi University, and further studies at Harvard University focusing on Leadership for Senior Executives.
