David Scott

As Vice-President (Strategy), David Scott provides leadership in strategy development, business intelligence and planning, and program design and implementation. David is responsible for a portfolio that comprises Strategic Planning, Strategic Ventures, Advanced Analytics, Planning and Enterprise Data, and the Central Program Management Office.

David is the former Director of Analytics and Applications at Transport for NSW, and has more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including senior roles at the Commonwealth Bank, National Australia Bank, Optus, Insurance Australia Group, and ING Direct. David joined the University of Sydney in 2021 in the newly created role of Chief Data and Analytics Officer to transform how they use data and insights in the strategic decision-making, as they pursue the aspirations for excellence and an improved experience for the students, staff and partners.
