Leslie Cupp Ryser

Leslie Cupp Ryser, PhD, serves as the Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement at the University of the Cumberlands. They have a diverse background, previously holding positions as a communications director and congressional press secretary, where they managed media relations and developed public communication strategies for U.S. Representative Harold "Hal" Rogers and U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell. Leslie has also worked at Operation UNITE, fostering community partnerships, and at The Creek Church, where they directed various ministry initiatives. They have been instrumental in university communications and marketing, supporting the institution's branding and mission throughout their career.
