James Cox

James Cox is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemistry and drug development, currently serving as the Director of HSC Cores at the University of Utah since February 2022. With a long-standing tenure at the University of Utah that began in January 2006, James holds the position of Research Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Core Director, specializing in metabolomics. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at Promiliad Biopharma from January 2004 to December 2005, focusing on drug development. James obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The Ohio State University between 1999 and 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Kentucky, earned from 1992 to 1996.
